About This Project

The Nutrition Program Expansion & Kitchen Upgrade project will significantly enhance our ability to provide nutritious meals to children at Kirinya Children's Centre. Our current kitchen, built in 2016, is undersized for our growing population and lacks modern equipment.

Current Status:

Design and planning phase is complete. We have secured land for the new kitchen and dining hall. Foundation work will begin once additional funding is secured. We currently have raised £45,000 of the £80,000 target.

Community Impact:

Beyond serving children at the centre, the expanded kitchen will allow us to implement a community feeding program for vulnerable elderly and disabled community members. The school garden will also provide training for local families on nutrition and sustainable agriculture.

Garden Expansion Underway

The school garden has been expanded by 50%! We have planted new vegetables including tomatoes, cabbages, and spinach. This will supplement our meal program and provide nutrition education for students.
