The Health, Nutrition & Child Welfare Program addresses the physical and emotional well-being of all children at Kirinya Children's Centre. We believe that children cannot learn effectively if they are hungry, sick, or facing emotional trauma.
Since implementing this program, we have seen a 90% reduction in malnutrition cases among enrolled children. School attendance has improved significantly, as children are no longer missing class due to hunger or illness.
Regular health monitoring has allowed us to identify and treat conditions early. Children with chronic conditions like asthma or epilepsy receive consistent medication. Our counseling program has helped dozens of children process trauma and improve their emotional well-being.
The program also serves the wider community through health education workshops, nutrition demonstrations, and referral services for families with children not yet enrolled at the centre.
