In a historic achievement, every single Primary 7 student from Kirinya Children's Centre passed the national Primary Leaving Examinations! This 100% pass rate is unprecedented in our region and demonstrates the quality of education we provide.
Among the 45 students who sat for the exams:
- 12 students scored in Division One (highest category)
- 22 students scored in Division Two
- 11 students scored in Division Three
- 5 students placed in the top 100 nationally
"We are absolutely thrilled with these results," said Head Teacher Geoffrey Kamya. "Many of these children came to us unable to read or write, having never been to school before. To see them not just pass but excel is a testament to their hard work and the dedication of our teachers."
Particularly noteworthy is the performance of Grace Akello, our visually impaired student, who scored in Division One and placed 47th nationally. She was the highest-performing student with a disability in the entire district.
All 45 students have received scholarships to attend secondary school, with many securing places at top institutions. This achievement has put Kirinya Children's Centre on the map as a center of educational excellence.
